6-day nature excursion
The state Pernambuco with an area of 98.000 km2 is geograhically divided in three areas. First the 'Zona da Mata' (the Atlantic forest) with a lot of rainfall which stretches out until about 80 km inward.
Second is the 'Agreste', a rocky and mountainous area, a triangle shaped area at the border of Pernambuco and Maranhão and creates the separation between the green 'Mata Atlantica' and the dry 'sertão' where rainfall sporadically appears, which is the third one.
The moisty winds from the sea drop their rain above the 'Mata Atlantica' before they can even reach the sertão.
Discovering the interior means diverge of the beaten track and the rough interiors and meet the friendly inhabitants. They are called the 'serjatenos' who are descendants of the slaves and the orginal indians and so the 'vaquiro', or cattle-driver was formed.
multi-day excursions in Brazil
most of our eco-adventure tours and trekkings are individually and/or in small international groups, and never consist of more than 12 - 15 persons.
Departure is on a daily basis, except for those tours where departure days are mentioned specifically.
Our eco-adventure tours are ideally designed to combine with an individual tour through Brazil: before, after or even during your individual tour you can fit an eco-adventure tour easily in your program, by which you can get an even more complete impression of Brazil.
All activities during the eco-adventure tours are depending on local weather conditions and reachability. For these reasons the route of a tour can be changed, when safety and comfort of the passengers can not be guaranteed due to these circumstances.
